Titans snare Shillington in NRL deal

Gold Coast have enjoyed some recruitment success, snapping up former Test forward David Shillington for the next two NRL seasons.

The signing of the Canberra giant is a shot in the arm for the Titans who are still reeling from Daly Cherry-Evans’ backflip and captain Nate Myles’ departure to Manly next season.

Gold Coast coach Neil Henry said the 32-year-old Shillington – who had played 14 Tests and eight State of Origin games for Queensland – would add much-needed punch to their pack in 2016-17.
