Taufua out for six weeks

The already injury-plagued Manly have suffered another blow, with winger Jorge Taufua ruled out for six NRL rounds with a fractured collarbone.

Taufua was added to the Sea Eagles’ swelling injury ward after going down in the second half of Thursday’s loss to Parramatta at Brookvale Oval and is not expected back until round 13.

To make matters worse, hooker Matt Parcell, who sat out the defeat to the Eels, is not expected back for a fortnight because of a hamstring injury.

They join star halfback Daly Cherry-Evans (ankle), Jamie Buhrer (broken thumb), Tim Moltzen (knee), Isaac John (pec) and Jayden Hodges (knee) on the club’s injured list.
