Stewart re-signs with Manly in NRL

Brett Stewart looks set to be a one-club player after inking a one-year contract extension with Manly.

The deal will keep one of the NRL club’s favourite sons at Brookvale until the end of the 2017 season and will see him play into a 17th season in top grade.

The 30-year-old debuted for the Sea Eagles in round two, 2003 against Parramatta and has made 220 appearances.

The former NSW State of Origin and Australian Test fullback’s re-signing is a boost for the club as it attempts to rebuild under incoming coach Trent Barrett.

“The Sea Eagles have been a massive part of my life for a long time now and to know I am here until the end of the 2017 season is very exciting,” Stewart said.
