Jamie Soward has confirmed his immediate exit from Penrith despite having over a year remaining on his NRL contract to hook up with the London Broncos in England.

The 31-year-old revealed his hasty departure from the foot of the mountains via social media on Thursday, but hinted at a possible comeback in the future.

“@PenrithPanthers thanks for the memories. Thanks for having me. #panthergang. Gonna miss the boys and fans but I will be back. #533,” Soward tweeted.
