Despite the injury to superstar Greg Inglis, online bookmaker sportsbet has kept the Rabbitohs as the $3.25 favourite to win the 2013 NRL Premiership.

South Sydney, who started the season as third favourites at $9.00, are now the outright best backed side to win the competition. So well backed are the Bunnies, they’ve attracted double the punter support to the Sydney Roosters ($4.50), the team on the second line of betting.

The Storm ($5.00), Manly ($8.00) and Bulldogs ($10) round out the top five in premiership betting. The Storm are the second best backed side to win the Premiership.

“GI is a massive loss but they’ve got the talent and depth to stay at the top and he will be back come finals so in our opinion, and also the punters, they remain the team to beat,” sporstbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.

The Bunnies remain short priced favourites at $1.14 to beat the Dragons ($5.75) on Monday night, but the line has tightened into -15.5 from -17.5 following the Inglis injury.

In wooden spoon betting, the Eels are now into $1.12 to run last, ahead of the Dragons ($7.00), Tigers ($13), Broncos ($34) and Broncos ($41).
