Sam Burgess fit to face Eels

South Sydney forward Sam Burgess has declared himself a certain starter for Friday’s NRL clash with Parramatta, after overcoming a shoulder injury.

Burgess suffered what he feared could be a season-ending injury in Friday’s loss to Wests Tigers, but scans have since cleared him of any structural damage.

The dual international said at Souths’ training on Tuesday he will be fit to face the Eels as the 12th placed Rabbitohs seek to stay in touch with the top eight.
