The Sydney Roosters have reportedly agreed to play at the World Club Series in England, joining North Queensland and Brisbane in the February tournament.
The Tricolours will be a part of the series which pits the top three sides from the NRL and the Super League against each other.
“It will be a tremendous start to the season,” Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan told NewsCorp Australia.
“The players get together and live with each other. It’s a group setting which is great for the players and the club. And it’s a great promotion for the club.”
NRL premiers North Queensland will battle the winner of this weekend’s Super League grand final – Wigan or Leeds – in the World Club Challenge.
The third Super League team competing in the February match ups is expected to be announced over the weekend.
