Rugby league’s All Stars match will take place on February 13 next year, the NRL has announced.
It marks a return to the schedule for the match, which was not played last year to make room for the first edition of the Auckland Nines.
The match – in which an NRL All Stars team plays an Indigenous All Stars side – will return to Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast after being played at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium in 2013.
The game forms part of the NRL’s most packed pre-season ever, kicking off with the two-day Nines tournament starting on January 31 and also an expanded World Club Challenge series to be held in the UK from February 20-22.
Premiers South Sydney will meet Super League champs St Helens to finish the series, which also incudes Brisbane, St George Illawarra and Super League teams Wigan and Warrington.
