Skipper Jarrod Croker wants to make 2016 the start of a new golden era for Canberra in the NRL – beginning with a win over Cronulla in Saturday’s qualifying final.
The Raiders haven’t enjoyed much success since winning three premierships in six seasons during the late 1980s and early 1990s, with their last coming in 1994.
“We want to create our own history. We’ve started that but … we’ve got a lot more to do and a lot more to prove – and hopefully it’s just the start of a good future for the club,” Croker said on Friday.
