The Cowboys fell to their third consecutive loss last Monday night when taking on the Titans on the Gold Coast, 13 – 12.
As was the case in the previous fortnight, the margin was not a big one but the game was there for the taking for the Cowboys who scored first and early (6 minutes) via Captain Jonathan Thurston, his third try of the year.

It was exactly what the Cowboys needed as they had been slow out of the blocks in previous weeks but through errors and poor penalties, the Cowboys didn’t take advantage of the start, continually inviting the Titans back into the game.
It wasn’t a performance rookie Coach Paul Green would have been pleased with at all and there’s plenty for the Cowboys to work before they host the Knights on Monday night.

As they were for the majority of last year, the Cowboys have been a touch disappointing in the first month of this season with their only win coming over Canberra, when they had to come from behind.
Despite the head-to-head record at the ground, Newcastle’s form is far more trustworthy and with them keen to consolidate last week’s win, they’re capable of causing the Cowboys plenty of headaches and an upset.
