Nofoaluma accused of biting in NRL clash

Cronulla Sharks back-rower Wade Graham has made a biting allegation against Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma in the first half of the NRL clash at Remondis Stadium on Saturday night.

Graham was penalised for pushing Nofoaluma in the face in a second effort in the tackle, but the Sharks forward got up blowing up at the referees and Tigers players.

A complaint was made from Graham that Nofoaluma had bitten him on the face and referee Gavin Morris said the allegation would be put on the record.

The issue will be looked at by the match review committee on Monday and if guilty, Nofoaluma could potentially face a long stint on the sidelines.

Canterbury prop James Graham was suspended for 12 weeks for biting Melbourne fullback Billy Slater’s ear in the 2012 NRL grand final.
