Parramatta Eels legend Nathan Hindmarsh has been installed as the $4.00 favourite by leading online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au to tally the most tackles in the NRL this season but Canberra Raiders workhorse Shaun Fensom might have something different to say about it.
Fensom, who made a record 75 tackles in one match last season, is on the second line of betting at $4.50.
Matt Ballin and Jake Friend are next at $7.00 followed by the hard working New Zealand Warrior Michael Luck ($10), Brisbane’s Andrew McCullough ($13) and the Cowboys’ Dallas Johnson ($19).
“We expect Hindy to be in vintage form once again this season and if he does make the most tackles that can only meant one thing. We just hope he has finally learned and has a tighter draw strong in his shorts,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
“Fensom showed last year he loves the hard work and has taken over from Alan Tongue so he is a definite chance of taking out the title.”
Queensland and Australia hooker Cameron Smith is a $34 chance alongside the Titans Matt Srama with Glenn Stewart at $41 and Robbie Farah next at $51.
