Melbourne Storm to play Dragons in NZ

Melbourne Storm will play their round 20 NRL game against St George Illawarra in Napier.

Confirming a one-year partnership with the North Island city, Storm chief executive Mark Evans says details of the game on July 25 have been signed off with Napier City Council.

Evans thanked Storm members for agreeing to take the game away from Melbourne to McLean Park, a ground which has hosted cricket internationals and was the venue for last year’s Rugby Championship Test between the All Blacks and Argentina.

The game is played on the same day as an NRL clash between the Warriors and Manly Sea Eagles in Auckland.
