Liu signs on with Sydney Roosters

Young Sydney Roosters forward Isaac Liu has re-signed with the premiers for two more seasons.

Used primarily as an interchange prop or back-rower, Liu will remain with the tricolours until the end of 2016.

The 23-year-old made his NRL debut in round four last year, and although he played a large chunk of the season, unluckily missed out on selection in the grand final-winning team.

Liu joins a core group of players who have come through the Roosters’ junior ranks together – including Dylan Napa, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Kane Evans – to have committed their futures to the fourth-placed premiers.

“Isaac has worked really hard to get himself to where he is,” said coach Trent Robinson.

“A quiet achiever, ‘Ice’ is a fierce competitor and with his great work ethic, he will only continue to grow as a player over the coming seasons.”
