Ryan Hoffman is confident his switch from Melbourne to the Warriors won’t jeopardise his spot in the NSW side.

Hoffman, who was named players’ player by his Blues teammates after game two in Sydney, will move across the Tasman at the end of the season, ending an 11-year association with the Storm.

The experienced back-rower has agreed to a lucrative three-year deal with the Warriors and hopes it won’t be a case of out of sight, out of mind for the 2015 State of Origin campaign.

“I don’t think will happen,” Hoffman told AAP.

“People said that would be the case down in Melbourne and I’ve been considered.

“There have been guys playing in New Zealand before that have played Origin.

“Jacob Lilyman is one and you have Brent Tate and Steve Price before him who were picked.”

The Blues are well stocked with top-class back-rowers, with Boyd Cordner, Anthony Watmough, Beau Scott, Greg Bird, Tony Williams all playing a role in this year’s series.

Hoffman enjoyed his finest Origin performance to help seal the first series success in nine years in the 6-4 win at ANZ Stadium, and the 30-year-old said if he maintains that form he’d expect to be in Daley thoughts.

“They are going to pick the players that are in form and can do a job in one way or another for NSW,” he said.

“Hopefully I am one of them.”
