Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett has confirmed Herman Ese’ese will make his Broncos debut off the bench in Friday night’s NRL clash with South Sydney.

Backrower Alex Glenn was on Thursday officially ruled out with a hip complaint sustained in last round’s 53-0 win over Newcastle – competition leader Brisbane’s fourth straight victory.

Sam Thaiday moves into the starting backrow with Ese’ese – who made his NRL debut with the Bulldogs last year – slotted onto the interchange.

Form winger Corey Oates (knee) has been cleared to play after completing Thursday’s training.
