South Sydney forward George Burgess has beaten the rap at the NRL judiciary on a dangerous contact charge.

He had been charged with making dangerous contact to the head and neck of Canterbury forward Josh Jackson.

Burgess is free to play for Souths against North Queensland in the final match of round six on Monday night at ANZ Stadium.

Sydney Roosters and Queensland representative forward Aidan Guerra wasn’t so fortunate.

Guerra, who contested a grade-one dangerous throw charge for his tackle on Cronulla’s Chris Heighington, failed in his bid at the judiciary.

Guerra has received a two-week NRL ban but is already out injured with a broken jaw suffered in the Roosters’ 20-12 loss to the Sharks.
