Farah requests NRL release from Tigers

Robbie Farah has reportedly asked for a release from NRL club Wests Tigers.

The Seven Network reported on Saturday that Farah’s management emailed the Tigers on Friday night requesting an immediate release.

NSW State of Origin star Farah has two years to run on his contract with the joint venture.

Farah has been linked with a move to St George Illawarra, something his former Tigers teammate and now Dragons playmaker Benji Marshall would love to see.

“Absolutely I would,” Marshall said.

“He is a class player. The problem is we have a class hooker in Mitchell Rein.

“So if Mitch is at the club, I think he has a great future, he is a future Origin star, and if Robbie joins the ranks that is another extra hooker on the books.”
