Boom playmaker Kane Elgey has rejected overtures from Manly to re-sign with Gold Coast on a new two-year deal.

The 21-year-old had been linked to a move to the Sea Eagles, but the Titans announced on Tuesday they had retained the former Australian Schoolboy and NYC player of the year.

Elgey, considered one of the hottest up-and-coming players in the NRL, will form an exciting scrumbase partnership with Daly Cherry-Evans when he joins the Gold Coast next year.
