Eels’ Norman in police matter: report

Parramatta NRL playmaker Corey Norman has reportedly been caught up in a police investigation following an incident at Sydney’s Star City casino on Friday night.

The Seven Network said on Sunday morning that Norman was with a group of men who were stopped during a routine metal detector search when seeking entry to the casino.

Pills were found in a container on one 25-year-old man and a member of the group was detained by venue security and spoken to by police.

Seven reported that police were yet to interview Norman but intended to do so.

The pills were sent for forensic analysis.

Norman was at Eels training on Sunday ahead of their clash with Melbourne on Monday night when Parramatta resume their quest to overcome the loss of 12 competition points and claim an unlikely finals berth.
