Parramatta have denied widespread reports that star playmaker Kieran Foran has quit the NRL club.
The former Manly star has been battling injury and personal issues.
A number of media outlets reported on Friday morning Foran had walked out on his $4.8 million contract with the club to take an indefinite break from rugby league.
However the Eels said in a statement they had no request from Foran to leave the club.
“The Parramatta Eels have not received a request from Kieran Foran’s management regarding a release from his contract,” the statement read.
“Kieran’s welfare is the club’s primary concern and the Eels will continue to offer him all the resources available to aid in his recovery.
“The club will be making no further comment on the matter.”
