Talks have left Parramatta confident they can be salary cap compliant before their next NRL match against South Sydney on Friday.

Parramatta consultant Ian Schubert met with NRL officials on Monday as the club attempts to get under the cap in time to start accruing competition points again in the home match at Pirtek Stadium.

“The club is confident it can get to where it needs to be by this weekend,” Schubert told reporters.

The fifth-placed Eels are facing the loss of all 12 of their competition points to date for salary cap breaches by the club outlined last week by the NRL.
