St George-Illawarra hooker Mitch Rein will miss this Saturday night’s clash against Parramatta after taking the early guilty plea for a dangerous throw.
Rein, 25, was slapped with a grade one dangerous throw on Sydney Roosters’ second-rower Boyd Cordner and the club decided on Wednesday not to fight the charge.
Back-up rake Heath L’Estrange is expected to make the run-on side against the Eels, with coach Paul McGregor to name an official replacement later on in the week.
Canterbury second-rower Josh Jackson will attempt to get a downgrade on his own dangerous throw charge on Penrith five-eighth Jamie Soward on Wednesday night in a bid to play in the State of Origin decider in Brisbane on July 8.
