Dogs name unchanged NRL team

Bulldogs coach Des Hasler has named an unchanged 17 for Saturday night’s NRL preliminary final against Penrith at ANZ Stadium.

He stuck with the same 17 that snatched an 18-17 semi-final thriller over Manly last week, adding Moses Mbye and Harlan Alaalatoa on an extended bench.

The Bulldogs’ 17 are intact after back-rower Josh Jackson was cleared of a chicken wing tackle and last week’s hero Trent Hodkinson (knee) was given the green light by physio Steve McCullagh on Tuesday.

“Penrith have constantly defied the odds this season and they’ll be very hard to beat on Saturday,” Hasler said.

“The players have recovered well after last week and they know it’s a big game with so much to play for.”

Bulldogs: Sam Perrett, Corey Thompson, Josh Morris, Tim Lafai, Mitch Brown, Josh Reynolds, Trent Hodkinson, Aiden Tolman, Michael Ennis (capt), James Graham, Josh Jackson, Tony Williams, Greg Eastwood. Interchange: Reni Maitua, Dale Finucane, David Klemmer, Frank Pritchard, Moses Mbye, Harlan Alaalatoa (two to be omitted).
