Canberra centre Jarrod Croker capped off a memorable season by being named the Raiders’ best and fairest at Wednesday’s awards night.
In an otherwise lacklustre season for the Raiders, who narrowly avoided the wooden spoon after a tense battle with a hapless Cronulla, Croker provided many highlights for coach Ricky Stuart.
He finished the season as the third-leading tryscorer in the competition with 18 tries, and posted 202 points.
The 24-year-old, who re-signed with the club on a four-year deal this week, polled 20 votes to edge out co-captain David Shillington for the Mal Meninga Medal.
