Cartwright steps down as Titans coach

Gold Coast Titans coach John Cartwright has reportedly stepped down from the NRL club.

The club is expected to make the announcement at a press conference at 4pm.

The club’s inaugural coach’s eighth year with the Titans brought another disappointing season.

The side faces missing the finals for the fourth straight year after slumping to 13th with eight wins from 19 games.

Cartwright’s assistant Neil Henry has been linked with the caretaker coach position and co-owner Michael Searle has reportedly resigned from the board.
