Carter accepts one-match NRL ban

South Sydney will be without Paul Carter for Thursday’s NRL clash with Wests Tigers after the back-rower accepted an early guilty plea for tripping.

Carter was charged for tripping Anthony Milford in the second half of the Rabbitohs’ 22-point loss against Brisbane on Friday night, and will miss one match once carryover points are added.

The news is better for halfback Adam Reynolds though, who provided he overcomes a jaw injury, is free to play on Thursday after pleading guilty to a contrary conduct charge for touching referee Jared Maxwell in the same match.
