Broncos lose Reed for NRL clash

Ladder leaders Brisbane have lost centre Jack Reed to injury for Friday night’s NRL clash with Newcastle at Suncorp Stadium.

Coach Wayne Bennett says Reed failed to pass fit following the Broncos’ remarkable defensive effort in their last round 14-12 win in Melbourne.

Jordan Kahu replaces Reed in the centres and Corey Oates moves from the bench to the wing in a reshuffled Brisbane backline.

Dale Copley is the new face on the interchange alongside Jarrod Wallace, Mitchell Dodds and Matt Parcell.
