Matt Gillett is in doubt for Brisbane’s NRL match against South Sydney on Saturday after picking up an injury in Queensland’s State of Origin III loss to NSW.

The Broncos star failed to train with the team in the captain’s run at Sydney’s Mascot Oval on Friday, while fellow Maroons forward Josh McGuire trained separately to ease his workload.

McGuire isn’t considered in doubt for the Rabbitohs clash, however the Broncos will also be without skipper Corey Parker, who copped a one-game ban for dangerous contact in Origin III.
