Wests Tigers five-eighth Braith Anasta is facing a shoulder charge ban of up to two weeks.

Anasta was charged by the NRL Match Review Committee on Monday with a grade two shoulder charge for a 64th-minute hit on Manly winger Williams in Sunday’s round five win by the Tigers at Leichhardt Oval.

Anasta will only miss one week if he takes the early guilty plea, but will miss two weeks if he decides to fight the charge and is found guilty at the NRL judiciary.

The charge is a blow for the in-form Tigers, who will have fullback James Tedesco on the sidelines for an extended period due to an ankle injury.

Blake Austin kicked the winning field goal as the siren sounded in the Tigers’ 27-26 NSW Cup win over Manly on Sunday and is likely to be Anasta’s replacement.

St George Illawarra forward Jack De Belin also faces a possible two weeks on the sidelines for a dangerous throw on South Sydney’s Sam Burgess.

De Belin will also only miss one week if he takes the early guilty plea over the grade one dangerous throw, which occurred in the 62nd minute of the Rabbitohs win at the SCG on Saturday night.

Melbourne’s Dayne Weston was charged with Dangerous Contact – Unnecessary Head/Neck Pressure in Gold Coast’s upset win at AAMI Park on Sunday.

Weston will miss one week for the 54th-minute tackle on Titan David Mead if he takes the early guilty plea. He will also miss two weeks if he chooses to face the judiciary and is found guilty.

Dragons winger Jason Nightingale won’t miss a week if he takes the early guilty plea for a careless high tackle on Souths’ Apisai Koroisau.
