Jamie Whincup has won a record sixth V8 Supercars championship by winning race two at Phillip Island.
The 31-year-old Holden driver banked enough points in the two races on Saturday to ensure his closest title rivals, Mark Winterbottom and Shane Van Gisbergen, can’t catch him with one more round remaining in Sydney.
