Daniel Ricciardo has recorded the fourth fastest time in the last practice session before qualifying at the Singapore Grand Prix.
Ricciardo recorded a time of 1:46.350 in his Red Bull to be just behind teammate Daniil Kvyat who completed a lap of 1:46.147.
Ferrari drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen set the two fastest times in Saturday’s session – Vettel topping the timesheets with a lap of 1:45.682.
The Ferraris and Red Bulls both got the better of the previously dominant Mercedes team.
Lewis Hamilton, who has a strong lead in the drivers’ championship, was fifth fastest ahead of his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.
With Ferrari thriving in the hot conditions, and the nimble but power-light Red Bull performing well on the slow street-circuit corners, those teams look capable of ending Mercedes’ run of 12 consecutive pole positions this season.
