Miller grabs first MotoGP points in Texas

Young Australian rider Jack Miller has notched his first MotoGP world championship points in the Grand Prix of the Americas.

The 20-year-old rebounded from last month’s disappointing DNF in the season-opening Qatar Grand Prix to finish 14th in Austin on Sunday, in a race won by Spanish reigning world champion Marc Marquez.

Miller, who rides for CWM LCR Honda, made the jump to the premier class from Moto3 this season after finishing second in last year’s Moto3 championship.

He sits 18th in the world standings after two rounds in his debut year.
