Fabian Coulthard has shown his speed at Sandown, setting the fastest time in Supercars practice on Friday.
The DJR Team Penske was quickest around the Melbourne circuit, ahead of Chaz Mostert and Shane van Gisbergen.
The track has felt no raindrops on Friday but wet conditions are expected for qualifying on Saturday and the 500km race on Sunday.
