Michael Caruso has taken his Nissan Altima to the top of the timing charts in the final practice session for the Clipsal 500.

Back-to-back Clipsal champ James Courtney continued his fine pace on his Adelaide street circuit, charting the second fastest time.

Local talent Scott Pye will start from pole in Saturday’s first race and fellow Ford man Chaz Mostert will begin from pole in the later 125 kilometre race this afternoon.
