The Charlie Appleby trained Tryster has accepted an international invitation to run in the 2016 Group 1 Cox Plate.
The British galloper won the Group 1 Jebel Hatta over 1800m in March. Tryster was the favourite heading in to the Grade 1 Arlington Million last month but failed to cover any ground from an outside draw.
Tryster will join a host of runners from the Appleby stables including the talented Scottish who will set his sights on the Caulfield Cup. Scottish along with Second Wave, Oceanographer, Qewy and Francis Of Assisi are all nominated for the 2016 Melbourne Cup.
Tryster is currently at $34 in betting for the 2016 Cox Plate.
