Fledgling trainer Brent Stanley only has a few horses in work but will be spreading them far and wide on Saturday.

Leading a three-state assault for the Victorian-based Stanley will be impressive last-start winner Veuvelicious, a strong chance to give the Caulfield Cup-winning rider his first stakes success as a trainer at Rosehill.

Veuvelicious lines up in the Group Three Schweppervescence Quality (1400m) on the back of a five-length all-the-way win at Sandown two weeks ago.

Beach Front runs in a 1300m event in Adelaide while Override will tackle a 1000m sprint at Eagle Farm in Brisbane.

“I’m all over the place for a trainer that has only just started training,” Stanley said.

Two-year-old Veuvelicious arrived in Sydney on Thursday morning and Stanley is convinced the filly can make her presence felt in stakes grade.

“I’ll be going in there confident,” he said.

“She has trained on quite well from her last-start win. Her work since her win has been on her Sydney leg every day and she seems to be handling it very well so I’ve got no question marks there.

“She’s always shown us potentially she was a high-class filly.”

The Sandown win confirmed Stanley’s opinion of Veuvelicious as a serious talent and potential Oaks contender next season.

“She gave them a galloping lesson,” he said.

“She had to show the way up front, she quickened on the turn and she did what not many horses can do – she sprinted for 450 metres solid and was getting stronger at the end of the race.”

Stanley expects Beach Front to be hard to beat in Adelaide and believes Override, a last start Stony Creek winner, will take catching on the minimum weight in Brisbane.
