Despite jumping slowly Mossfun hugged the rail and hit the line too well to beat race favourite Earthquake and Bring Me The Maid hit the line well to run third.

Mossfun started as the clear second favourite in the race and was well supported in betting in the lead up to the race worth $3.5million dollars with the fillies odds touching $3.80 at one stage with one punter putting $50,000 on her to win, but the big late money came for the favourite Earthquake who jumped at $2.60 in betting after getting out to $3.20 at one stage.
