Provocative first emergency in 2016 QLD Oaks Field

New Zealand filly Provocative remains outside the field for the Queensland Oaks as the first emergency with the Chris Waller-trained Mount Omei claiming the final spot in the 18-horse field.

The Tony Pike-trained Provocative, a $10 chance in the Oaks, has also been entered for Saturday’s Eagle Farm Cup with a view to running in the Queensland Derby a week later if she doesn’t gain an Oaks start.

The Clarry Conners-trained Dawnie Perfect, one of four $7 equal Oaks favourites, has drawn the outside barrier in the 2400m-race.
