A deferment of a suspension will allow ace jockey Joao Moreira to fulfil Epsom Handicap day commitments.

Moreira, who leads the Hong Kong jockeys’ premiership, was suspended for three meetings at Sha Tin on Wednesday night.

An immediate start to the ban would have ruled Moreira out of Randwick on Saturday week.

But the suspension won’t begin until the next day, allowing Moreira to take the ride on the Chris Waller-trained He’s Your Man in the $500,000 Epsom Handicap.

He’s Your Man has been a significant Epsom shortener since Waller announced the famous mile race would be a spring target for the import instead of the Group One Metropolitan on the same day.

The six-year-old has won two of his past three starts, including a convincing victory over Kingdoms in the Kingston Town Stakes.

He drops to 52.5kg for the Epsom.
