Money for Weir runner in CS Hayes Stakes

After a completely luckless first up run in the Manfred Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield, the Darren Weir trained Palentino has clearly been the best backed runner with to take out the CS Hayes Stakes (1200m) this Saturday at Flemington.

The Hilton Hotel Stakes (1400m) winner from Cup Week got badly checked behind tired horses at Caulfield and was pretty much untested. That run has seen him backed in from $3.80 to $3.20.

He hasn’t been the only backed runner. Bon Aurum ($16-$12), Lizard Island ($11-$8.50) and Vostok ($11-$9-$9.50) have each had support.
