There was some speculation around whether all in Melbourne Cup favourite Hartnell would line-up in the race after his 8L defeat in the Cox Plate but there is good news for backers.

Godolphin have confirmed Melbourne Cup favourite Hartnell will take his spot in the field after John O’Shea announced that the horse came through the Cox Plate run bette than he thought.

Hartnell is the current $4.60 favourite ahead of Jameka at $6.50 in all in Melbourne Cup betting.
