News:

Just days after her win in the Perth Cup, Delicacy’s career is in the balance with the mare to undergo scans on her front legs.

Her owner Bob Peters said on Monday, Delicacy had pulled up from her Group Two win on Saturday with heat in both front legs, prompting fears of a tendon injury.

“She’s pulled up sore in the front legs,” Peters told racing.com.

“She’s absolutely out of the autumn and it maybe even means retirement, I don’t know.

“We have to get the results. She won’t be scanned and X-rayed until tomorrow.”

Delicacy was named last season’s champion Australian filly for her performances which included Group One wins in the Australasian Oaks and SA Derby in Adelaide.

She has earned more than $2 million and has 12 wins and five placings from her 19 starts.
