In an open betting race, punters are tuning in to Payteevee and Trajet for tomorrow’s Townsville Cup.

Payteevee is well in commission at $8.00 with online bookmaker Sportsbet.com.au.

Brisbane stayer Trajet has been backed from $13 into $7.00 and is now second favourite behind Ladretto ($6.50), a winner at nine of his last 10 starts.

“Ladretto and Payteevee have terrific records in the north, but both are yet to win over the 2100m. Trajet is proven at the trip and is the one punters have come for overnight,’’ said Sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.

While Ladretto is unbeaten in seven runs on the Cluden track ,Weathervane ($8.50), is a last start winner there and has been in the money in four of five starts.
