Hall of Fame trainer Jim Moloney dies

Hall of Fame trainer Jim Moloney has died, aged 90.

Moloney, the trainer of champion sprinter Vain who won 12 of his 14 starts between 1968-70, was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame earlier this year.

His sons Gerard and John are horse trainers at Caulfield while his grandson Patrick is a top apprentice in Melbourne.
