Flemington training partners Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra will send two fit sprinters up against triple Group One winner Moment Of Change at Caulfield.

They will run Pillar Of Creation and Hard Stride in Listed Regal Roller Stakes with a hefty weight advantage over Moment Of Change.

Burdened with 62kg, Moment Of Change has to give Pillar Of Creation and Hard Stride 7.5kg and 8kg respectively.

Moment Of Change is a noted front-runner but Zahra said Thiamandi, Hard Stride or Jemerica, who led throughout at her last win at Caulfield, could challenge him for the lead.

“Whether Moment Of Change leads with that weight will be interesting,” Zahra said.

“I’m not sure he’d want to lead with that weight.”

Moment Of Change will be resuming while Pillar Of Creation and Hard Stride have campaigned consistently through winter.

Zahra said a short break at owner David Moodie’s spelling property left Pillar Of Creation ready to sprint fresh at Caulfield where he has won three of his five starts.

“Pillar Of Creation has been up to David’s farm for eight or nine days so he’s fresh enough to run the 1200 and he’s well weighted,” Zahra said.

“And it’s just a matter of whether Hard Stride is coming to the end of his preparation. He’s been up so long so he’s always one run from a spell.”

In spite of his impost, bookmakers have made Moment Of Change the $3.50 favourite ahead of the Bletchingly Stakes winner Thiamandi at $4.

Hard Stride is a $5 third pick while Pillar Of Creation is at $8.
