News:

Peter Morgan is still undecided which race Caulfield Guineas hopeful Zebulon will contest on his way to the Group One race.

Zebulon pleased Morgan with his work at Moonee Valley on Monday morning but the trainer is yet to determine whether the three-year-old runs in Friday night’s Bill Stutt Stakes (1600m) or Sunday’s Caulfield Guineas Prelude (1400m).

“We may accept for both races, I’m not certain yet,” Morgan, who trains in partnership with Craig Widdison, said.

Zebulon caught the eye when he powered home for third in the Listed Living Legends Stakes (1400m) at Flemington behind Merion and Chivalry after a nine-week let-up.

He is on the second line of betting for the Caulfield Guineas.

“Zebulon’s work was good this morning. He always works well and I’m very happy with the way he’s going,” Morgan said.

“All his runs have been terrific and I think he’s a good horse.”

Zebulon’s stablemate Eloping will run at the Moonee Valley meeting. The filly is entered for the Group Three Champagne Stakes (1200m).

A dual stakes winner at two, Eloping led the field into the Moonee Valley straight at her first start for the season in the McEwen Stakes.

She held on well for third as Angelic Light caused an upset over star sprinter Lankan Rupee.
