A solid line-up of three-year-olds has been nominated for a stakes race at Moonee Valley as many kick off their Caulfield Guineas campaigns.

Saturday’s Listed McKenzie Stakes has 16 entries including Awake In Grinzing, Baffert, Dam Ready, Derryn, Power Trip, Throssell and Verstappen.

Among the 16 are four maidens who will be trying to follow the past two winners of the race, Well Sprung and Rich Enuff.

Both Well Sprung and Rich Enuff had raced only once before their McKenzie Stakes successes and were double figure priced winners.

This year China Dream, Coroebus, Mandalay Bay and Wimborne will be looking to continue the winning streak of maidens in the Listed race.
