Rowley Mile winner Mr Chard is not only attracting plenty of support to take out tomorrow’s Group 3 Cameron Handicap at Newcastle, but punters also think the seven-year-old might have a Group 1 win in him this spring.

The $4.20 favourite for tomorrow’s Cameron Handicap is being backed at $31 at Sportingbet.com.au for next month’s Group 1 Epsom Handicap at Randwick.

“He’s in from $51 for the Epsom and we took a bet of $1100 at those odds and a string of smaller wagers,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.

“He would have to win the Cameron by a big margin to get me excited about his Epsom prospects but there’s plenty of money around to suggest he can win on Wednesday and continue his successful campaign in October.”
