Brazen Beau’s odds drift in Run To The Rose 2014

Brazen Beau has been a notable drifter in early Run To The Rose betting with the Chris Waller trained galloper blowing out from $5.50 to $7.50 in the odds.

Brazen Beau sits on the second line of betting for arguably the most prestiges three year old race of the year ‘the Caulfield Guineas’ but that hasn’t persuaded punters to back him at Rosehill on Saturday.

This drift has been largely due to Waller being public about his concerns of running on a rain affected track.

“I’m desperately hoping we get fine weather on Thursday and Friday,”

“He didn’t handle a slow track at his second start and he finished out of a place,”

“And even in his trial last Saturday (jockey) Hugh Bowman said ‘only fair’ so if he’s showing those signs in a trial it’s normally exaggerated in a race.” Waller said.

Brazen Beau is a Group 2 winner having taken out the Champagne Classic in Queensland and Group 1 placed running second in the JJ Atkins behind Almalad who will also line up in the Run To The Rose on Saturday.
